    Description: These piping calibration blocks were created with Phased Array UT (PAUT). The DAKS TOOLS block design differs from the original ASME design in a number of ways, including the addition of extra axial and arc length, a different notch arrangement, and a 10° angled cut on one end for blocks exceeding 5 NPS. By making these adjustments, the back wall's undesirable noise is lessened when DAC/TCG calibrations are carried out using Phased Array UT equipment.A calibration block ought to be a piece of pipe with the same nominal dimensions, schedule, heat treatment, and material requirements as the object of the test.     Description: Long variant for phased array or 60/70° transducers.The extra distance enables a complete skip to the"highest" notch. used to create the primary reference responses for UT weld inspection. The smooth scanning surfaces seen on the majority of general-purpose test blocks, such as the IIW or DSC, are not present on ASME Basic Calibration Blocks because they are not designed to be a perfect replica of actual components. Instead, all of the surfaces of our Basic Calibration Blocks are media blasted to produce a rough surface texture that is more reminiscent of actual inspection conditions.
    Geometry: Block has three side holes that are at least 1.5" deep and 1/8" in diameter. 1, 4, and 34T are the locations of the holes through the thickness. has two EDM notches that are 2%T deep, 1/4" at their widest point, and 1.0" at their shortest point.
